From a Suitcase to a Storefront
Richard arrived in Orlando not knowing a single soul in the city, carrying little more than a suitcase and a stubborn belief that things could work out. He started small — a luggage shop that ran on a few thousand dollars and a lot of hope — and kept going even when the business nearly collapsed overnight after 9/11 grounded air travel.
Years later, he'd built one of the largest eBay storefronts in the country. It was profitable. It also wasn't something he was proud of. That distinction — between a business that makes money and a business worth building — is the thread that runs through everything MacroBaby became next.
