Understanding Your Reborn Doll
Reborn dolls are individually handcrafted with detailed painting, delicate materials, and artistic finishes that replicate the look of a real baby. The same details that make them so realistic — painted skin tones, rooted hair, eyelashes, silicone finishes — also make them more delicate than an ordinary toy. Many families choose reborn dolls for children, but they're happiest with gentle, supervised play.
Gentle Handling
✓ Do
- Support the head and body, just like a real baby
- Supervise play, especially for young children
- Lift and carry slowly and securely
✗ Avoid
- Rough handling, throwing, or dropping
- Pulling limbs, fingers, toes, hair, or lashes
- Squeezing or carrying without support
Never Get Your Doll Wet
Moisture can permanently damage the paint, internal filling, adhesives, and finish. Keep your doll away from baths, pools, beaches, water play, wet cloths, and any cleaning products, disinfecting wipes, soap, or detergents.
To clean: use only a soft feather duster or a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Never use water, sprays, soap, or alcohol.
Caring for Rooted Hair
Many reborn dolls feature individually rooted hair, hand-implanted strand by strand. It isn't permanently anchored, so it may loosen or shed if pulled, brushed aggressively, or handled roughly.
✓ Do
- Use only a soft baby brush, gently and slowly
- Support the hair with your hand while brushing
✗ Avoid
- Pulling hair or tugging at knots
- Stiff-bristle brushes or human hair products

Painted Hair
Some dolls feature painted rather than rooted hair. Never rub or scrub the scalp, use stiff-bristle brushes, or apply cleaning products — the paint is part of the doll's artistic finish and can wear away with friction.
Eyelash Care
Hand-applied eyelashes add realism but are delicate. Avoid rubbing the eyes, pulling on lashes, or trying to remove, reposition, or glue them — excessive handling may cause them to loosen or detach.
Special Care for Silicone Dolls
Full silicone dolls are among the most realistic — and most delicate — dolls we offer. They're protected by a special top coat that preserves the painted finish. Once a top coat begins to peel, the damage cannot be reversed. 💔
✗ Never
Always Lift Properly
✓ Do
Support the head and body, and hold the doll just like a real baby.
✗ Never
Lift by an arm, leg, hand, foot, or the head.
Clothing & Color Transfer
Dark fabrics can transfer dye onto your doll's skin — permanently. Wash new clothing before use, choose light colors when possible, and check for bleeding first. Avoid leaving dark fabrics or blankets on the doll for long periods.
Keep Away From Pets
Dogs and cats may mistake the doll for a toy — even brief contact can cause bites, scratches, or tears.
Avoid Heat & Sun
Skip the car, direct sunlight, and heaters. Keep your doll cool and comfy.
Proper Storage
Store somewhere clean, cool, and dry — no attics, garages, or heavy items on top.
Your reborn doll is more than a doll — it's a handcrafted art piece created through hours of loving, detailed work.
The more realistic it is, the more delicate it becomes. Gentle handling and a little tenderness will help you treasure it for years to come.
